Glossary of the method
The terms Meridian Engine readings use to describe the market, written so that they can be checked against public data.

The terms
- Band: The price interval, bounded by two stated levels, in which the reading applies.
- Liquidity pool: A cluster of equal or near-equal highs or lows.
- Sweep: Price trades briefly beyond a cluster of prior highs or lows; what counts is whether it returns.
- Displacement: A structure break made by wide, fast bars relative to ATR.
- Drift: A structure break made by slow, overlapping bars with thin participation.
- Shelf: A horizontal level formed by repeated lows or highs.
- ATR (average true range): The average range of a bar over a fixed number of bars: it measures volatility, in the instrument’s price units.
Where they are used
Each term appears in the published readings, with an example taken from one of them. How to check a reading is in the guide How to check a market analysis.
Every Meridian Engine analysis records direction, entry, stop, targets and invalidation before the move; the outcome is checked afterwards on the public price series named on each card, losses included. Waitlist members receive one or two analyses a week by email, free while on the waitlist.
